Teresa Faye Moses Starnes, 58, of Granite Falls, passed away Friday, March 5, 
2010, at Frye Regional Medical Center in Hickory.

Born September 26, 1951, in Cleveland County, she was the daughter of the late 
Hazel Earline Shull Moses and Herbert Moses.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, Ronnie 
Johnson, and a sister, Glenda Lail.

She is survived by her husband, Sammy (Sam) Starnes of the home; daughter, 
Wendy Starnes Sweat and husband Doug of Bethlehem; son, Tracy Starnes and wife 
Gina of Hickory; brother, Donnie Knight of Granite Falls; sister, Leisa Branch 
of Granite Falls; three granddaughters: Chelsie and Taylor Sweat, both of 
Bethlehem, and Whitney Chase of Hickory; and grandson, Kameron Chase of 
Hickory.

Funeral services were held Sunday, March 7, 2010, in the chapel of Bass-Smith 
Funeral Home in Hickory with Rev. Dennis Richards and Rev. Doug Douglas 
officiating. Burial followed at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens.

Memorials may be made to Palliative CareCenter & Hospice of Catawba Valley, 
3975 Robinson Rd., Newton, NC 28658.
