Frank J. Wyke

   Frank James Wyke, 58, of Lenoir died Sunday in a local hospital following 
an illness of one year.
   Wyke was born Sept. 2, 1912, in Watauga County, the son of P. B. Wyke of 
Lenoir and the late Maude Brown Wyke.  He was a member of Lower Creek Baptist 
church and was employee at Wyke Cleaners in Hickory.
   Surviving are his father; his widow, Mrs. Gladys Hollers Wyke; five sons, 
Robert J. and D. Keith Wyke of North Wilkesboro, Gene L. Wyke of Wrightsville 
Beach, James F. Wyke Jr. of Atlanta, Ga., and Rick L. Wyke of Lenoir; a 
brother, Fred Wyke of Hickory, two sisters, Mrs. David Greene and Mrs. Jack 
Henley, both Knoxville, Tenn.; and nine grandchildren.
   The funeral was conducted at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Lower Creek Baptist 
Church by the Rev. Billy Rivers and the Rev. Jim Price.  Burial was in Blue 
Ridge Memorial Park.
