Departed this life, 14 miles below Camden, aged 18 years, 
Miss Eliza, second daughter of James England, Esq. Her pure
spirit took it's flight on Sunday evening last. The yet bleeding
hearts of her family, occasioned by a recent bereavement, have
been more deeply lacerated by this severe dispensation of
devine providence.
Could the tears and sympathies of friendship sooth the broken
spirits of her distressed relatives, or soften the pangs of separation,
they have abundant consolation, for their departed Eliza was
beloved by numerous friends, who deeply feel and deplore
her loss. She possessed those qualities which elevate the female
character: filial duty, sisterly affection, purity of mind, ingenuousness,
a heart devoted to kindness and friendship, and an amiable 
condescension of manners, were truly the characteristics of this
interesting young lady. The poor of her neighborhood will grieve
the losss of their benefactress, and bless her memory.
A too exquisite sensibility rendered her a prey to grief for the
loss of a deceased brother, and invited a violent disease,
which her feeble frame was unable to support. She was
sensible of her approaching dissolution, and, in her last
hours, exhibited al those endearing traits of disposition
which so justly entwined her around the hearts of all who
knew her. 
It affords a melancholy pleasure to dwell on her departed
excellence, and a happy consolation that she now dwells
in the mansions of the blest.
