Camden County, NC - Wills File contributed for use in USGenWeb Archives by Vera Burnham Nancy Burnham Will of Camden County In the name of God Amen I, Nancy Burnham of the County of Camden, and State of North Carolina, of perfect , sound , and disposeing mind and memory, do hereby make this my last will and testament in the following manner. Item 1 ; I give and bequeath unto my son Doctor Burnham that tract of land I bought of ( Luilon -- ?) Burnham upon the following conditions, that is in case he releases my estate from all the money due him from me and G-----? for the hire of his negroes & other property. In case he refuses to release his claim and ---? lands in full payment, I leave the lands to be sold and the debt to be paid out of the sales thereof to him and his heirs forever. Also one negro man named Aaron to him & his heirs forever. Item 2 ; I give unto my Granddaughter Haint Small, daughter of Thomas Small, one negro Girl named Ten---? to her and her heirs forever Item 3 ; I give unto Elisha Chamberlan one feather bed and furniture, one cow and calf called Tinney and her increase to him and his heirs forever. I hereby ratify, and confirm this as my last will and testament. revoking all others heretofore made. In witness thereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal this 6th day of October 1830.
