Thurs., June 7, 1860  - North Carolina Argus June 7, 1860
   -- The jury in the case of JOHN MESSER, tried at Carteret, N. C. returned a 
verdict of manslaughter. The sentence of the Court was branding and a three 
months imprisonment as decreed by the Court.
