Died

On the 20th ult. at his plantation on White Oak, Carteret County, Major George 
H. Dudley, for many years sheriff of that county, in which, and various other 
offices, he was distinguished for the faithful performance of his duty. An 
affectionate wife and an extensive family connexion, have in his death, lost a 
kind husband and beloved friend.
