My wife to have the use and possession of my house and plantation whereon I now reside with all furniture and lands and such stock necessary for her support, and at her death to pass to my son Laben Lawrence. To son Jennings three hundred dollars, to be put at interest for his support and one bed and furniture. To my daughter Rachael Piner fifty dollars. The residue of my estate to be for the children of my daughter Rahael Piner, and the children of my deceased son Asa. David W. Whitehurst to be executor. Witnessed: John Lawrence, David W. Lawrence, William H. Whitehurst. Watson Lawrence (seal). January 25, 1860. Codicil: My son Jennings to have a life estate with my wife in the property, and then to son Laben. And my desire is that David W. Lawrence shall take the superintendence of my said son Jennings and use the funds left in the hands of my executor for his support and maintenance with the consent and at the discretion of my said executor as stated in the said foregoing will.
