I thought some one else might get the benefit of these. These court records are very interesting. I would recommend anyone take the time to read them. I thought this might be of some help in determining the distance these people lived from the court. --------------------------------------------------------------------- Ordered by the court with tho consent of the attorneys of this court that orders positions of any person or persons residing out of the limits of this state and to take dispostion or depositions to be read hereafter on application to the clerk as other processessors without any further order or of this court for that purpose and that the following time of notice shall ?, ? and deemed sufficient witness. 50 miles and under, ten days Over 50 miles and under 100 miles inclusive 15 days Over 100 miles and 150 miles inclusive-20 days Over 150 miles and under 200 miles inclusive-25 days notice Over 200 miles and under 300 miles-35 days notice The distance to be computed from the usual place of residence of the party and parties notified to the place where the depositions are to be taken and if more than one is notified, from the residence of that one who resides enarest the place of taking the deposition or depositions, and that where the party or parties to be notified resides out of this state notice to his her or their attorney in fact or agent or his her or their attorney at law shall in every respect be considered and held as delivered to the party or parties himself, herself or themselves. And it is further ordered by and with the like consent that all petitions founded in an act of the general assembly paid in.
