WILL bk A-p387 from Mahala Bass to Katherine Bowers children 
In the name of God Amen, I Mahala bass of the county of Caswell and state of NC 
do make this my last will and testament revoking all other before made by me.  
I do by these present hereby give and bequeth to my grandchildren, to the 
children of Mary Chavous my daughter and Katherine Bowers and another daughter 
of mine.  That is to James Chavous and to the children and Katherine Bowers all 
of the goods a chattler both real and personal.  that should I may die siezed 
and possessed of at the time of my death equally devided the aboved named-----
and I do by present appoint my neighbor John E Hamlett executor to this my last 
will and testament signed sealed and delivered in the present of TJ Bower and 
Isham Phelps. signed with X
