STATE OF NORTH CAROLINA      CASWELL COUNTY COURT
July Term, 1807

ELIZABETH COX
        
          Vs.

REUBEN COX, LEWIS COX, GEORGE CRITTINGTON and his wife, LUCY, JOHN BURGESS and 
his wife, MARY, PHILIP COX, NAT. SHAW and his wife, SUSANNAH, ELIZABETH COX 
and RACHEL COX

Petition for Dower

It appearing to the satisfaction of the Court that the defendants, GEORGE 
CRITTINGTON and LUCY, his wife; JOHN BURGESS and MARY, his wife, and RACHEL 
COX, are not inhabitants of this State. It is therefore ordered by the Court 
that publication be made for six successive weeks in the Raleigh Minerva, that 
unless the said Defendants appear at our next Court to be held for the County 
of Caswell on the last Monday of October next and shew cause, if any there be, 
why the prayer of the petitioner shall not be granted or the same will be 
decreed accordingly.
