June 4, 1848  North Carolina Journal
   DIED, in Milton, on the 19th inst., in the 58th year of his age, MR. JOHN 
CAMPBELL SR., father of the Editor of the Milton Gazette. He formerly resided 
at Coleraine, Bertie Countym but more recently in Orange Co. He had been for 
upwards of 30 years, a member of the Church.
