In the Name of God Amen. I John Dickey of the County of Caswell and State of North Carolina being in perfect mind and memory although weak and infirm by reason of old age and some sickness and calling to mind the mortality of the body hath thoughts fit to dispose of the worldly estate wherewith God hath blessed me in the following manner. First I give and bequeath my soul unto God nothing doubting but at the resurrection and my body to the dust shall be buried at the discression of my executors. I give and bequeath to my oldest son Zachariah Dickey twenty shillings. I give and bequeath to my oldest daughter Frances Douglass twenty shillings. I give and bequeath to my second son John Dickey 100 acres of land lying next to William Curries line from year to year during his natural lifetime then to be equally divided amongst lawful heirs living, his wife her maintenance during her natural life or widowhood. I bequeath to my third son twenty shillings. I bequeath to my second daughter Rebecca 100 acres of land where the mansion house stands also all household furniture and stock and plantation tools. She making, sale with as much as will pay all just debts, also the sum of ten pounds to my son John Dickey. Also I constitute and appoint my son David Dickey and Rebeccah Dickey executors of this my last will and testament.
