I henry Garland of the County of Caswell and state of North Carolina am of 
sound mind and deposing memory in view of the certainties of life and certainty 
of death do make declare and publish this my last will and testament in manner 
and form following, what it is to say. 1st to my wife Milly Garland all estate 
for natural life upon her death to my daughter Leanna Phelps and her husband 
Abner everything including the 10 acres of tract Fog land that I reside that 
includes the dwelling house, out house, garden, stables and all improvements 
attached of belonging: However the personal and real estate to Leanna only 
during her natural life.  Upon her death to her children.  Son in law Abner to 
manage and control property for maintenance and support.  Remainder of tract of 
land to two sons Jacob and Osborne to be equally divided.  Upon Jacobs death to 
the children of his former wife Alice Garland.  If Jacob or Odborne attempt to 
dissent or set aside my last will their share shall divided between my other 
children.
