Coulter Cemetery
Startown Road
Newton, N.C.

From the intersection of West Maiden Road and Startown Road, in Catawba
County, take a right onto Startown Road. Cemetery is nine-tenths of a mile on
the right hand side of the road, in front of a mobile home development. There
are many unmarked graves and a few with only a blank funeral home marker. I
started the survey with the first plot next to the drive into the mobile home
development. Going from right to left, I did these in rows. This survey was
done April 24, 2002.
The names are spelled as they appear on the stones. 
*NOTE:This cemetery is in danger of being destroyed. It is next to the highway
and at one time, had a fence. When the road was widened, the fence was torn
down and never replaced. Now, a water project will be coming within a few feet
of the front graves.
