John Clark for and in consideration of the sum of five shillings sterling to him in hand paid by the sd. Martin Colter ye receipt whereof he doth hereby acknowledge hath Bargained and sold and by these presents do bargain and sell unto the sd. Martin Colter his heirs and assigns all that Messuage Tenement Plantation track or parcel of land situated lying and being in the County of Anson and province afsd. Begining at James Robinson line on the North side ye So. Fork of the Cuttawba River and along sd. Robinson line to ye Back Line thence to ye upper Corner thence to the river ye Various courses of the river to the Begining Containing by estimation 400 acres be the same more or less including ye mill & all its improvements being ye uper part of one thousand acers granted to ye sd. John Clark and the reversions and reversions remainder and remainders with the rents issues and profits of the premises and of every part and parcel therof TO HAVE AND TO HOLD ye sd. Messuage Tenement Plantation tract or parcel of land and all and singular other premises herein before mentioned and intended to be hereby bargaind. and sold with their and every of their appurtenances unto the sd. Martin Colter his heirs Execes. Admines. and assigns from the day before the date hereof for and durring the term of one whole year from thence next ensuing and fully to be compleated and yielding and paying therefore ye yearly rent of one pepper corn at the feast of St. Michel the Arcangle only if the same be then demanded to ye intent that by virtue of these presents and of the statute for transferring uses into possession ye sd. Martin Colter may be in actual possession of the present premises and be enabled to accept a Grant of reversion and inheritance thereof to him and his heirs and assigns IN WITNESS whereof the sd.
