Local Newspaper obituary 1977
Moses D. Abernathy died at age 86, at Grace Hospital in Morganton. He was born
April 30, 1891 to Daniel H. and Melinda Clonging Abernathy., in Catawba Co. He
was a retired farmer and sawmiller.

He is survived by his wife, Viola Reel Abernathy, five sons, DA Abernathy, ME
Abernathy, LS Abernathy, Lewis H. Abernathy, Lawrence H Abernathy. Four
Daughters, Mrs. Ellen Coggins, Mrs. Dorothy Bolick, Mrs. Myrtle Powell, Mrs.
Doris Benfield, a sister, Mrs. Minnie Caldwell, 26 grandchildren, 29 great
grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.

Burial in North Catawba Cemetery. 



Additional Comments:
I don't know what the exact newspaper was, I was given a book full of obituaries
that belonged to one of my relatives. She only clipped out the parts about her
family members and not the parts about the publications.
