Aug. 1, 1827 North Carolina Journal DISTRESSING OCCURRENCE -- On Saturday evening last, MR. SAMUEL DALOCHE and his eldest son were drowned in the Tombeckbe River, near the mouth of Coalfire Creek. The young man was bathing: his father, seeing that he was about to drown, went to his assistanvce; and they were both drowned together. Their bodies were taken out of the river on Sunday morning, MRS.
