Had Nothing on Them

Newton, Aug. 30 - At a surprise marriage last night a still bigger surprise 
was sprung when it became known that the witnesses to the event had been 
married for three weeks themselves. These are J. Clyde Wagner and Miss Annie 
Barringer. They were married three weeks ago by Rev. C.J. Morgan at St. James. 

The couple marrying last night are Thomas Barringer and Miss Edna Seitz. Both 
events proved interesting to many friends here and in the country.

Mr. Wagner and bride will leave Sunday for Norther points for a week's 
honeymoon, after which they will be in their home on Pine Street. Mr. Wagner 
is a Southern Railway operator. His bride was thought to be preparing for 
entering Lenoir College, but had an entirely different plan, as is proved.
