WILLIAM DUFFY and others 

                Vs.

JOHN HAYWOOD and others

Petition for Legacy 

This petition is filed for Legacy, and it is ordered by the Court that as the 
defendant, JOHN HAYWOOD ,  is not a resident of this State, it is therefore 
ordered by the Court that publication be made for three successive weeks in 
the Raleigh Minerva, that unless the said JOHN HAYWOOD  appear at the next 
term of this Court to be held for said Chatham County on the 2nd Monday in 
November  next and plead, answer or demur to this petition, judgment will be 
taken pro confesso against him and heard ex parte.
