   VS.                        Attachment

JAMES R. MALLORY 

   It appearing to the satisfaction of the Court that the said JAMES R. 
MALLORY, absents himself from the State, so that the ordinary process of law 
cannot reach him; it is therefore ordered by the Court that advertisement be 
made in the North Carolina Standard, a newspaper published in Raleigh, for six 
successive weeks, commanding the said defendant, JAMES R. MALLORY, to appear 
at the next term of said Court to be held at the Court House in Pittsboro on 
the 3rd Monday in September next, then and there to plead answer or demur to 
said attachment of the plaintiff, JOHN MCELLINGTON, or judgment pro confesso 
will be entered against him.
