Bridges huskyfan@ix.netcom.com ********************************************************************** For a scanned image of the original document, go to: ftp://ftp.rootsweb.com/html/usgenweb/nc/chatham/images/kendrk01.gif ********************************************************************** Chatham County, North Carolina Deed Book "C" Page 226 226 State of North Carolina No. 605 To all to whom these presents shall come greeting Know Ye that We for and in Consideration of the Sum of fifty Shillings for every hundred Acres hereby granted paid into Our Treasury by John Kendrick have given and granted and by these presents do give and grant unto the Said John Kendrick A Tract of Land Containing Two hundred Acres lying and being in Our County of Chatham Beginning at the Spanish Oak on Davidson Mountain and turning East one hundred and eighty poles to a post Oak then South across Pattersons Creek one hundred and twenty five poles to a post Oak then West Across Said Creek one hundred poles to a Hickory then South one hundred poles to a post Oak then West Ninety two poles to a White Oak then North one hundred and Sixty poles to a Beach on the bank of Deep River then down the same to the first Station as by the plat hereunto Annexed doth appear Together with all Woods, Waters, Mines, Minerals, Hereditaments and Appurtenances to the said Land belonging or Appertaining To hold to the said John Kendrick and his heirs and assigns forever yielding and paying to us such Sums of Money yearly or otherwise as Our General Assembly from Time to Time may direct Provided Always that the said John Kendrick Shall Cause this grant to be Registered in the Registers office of Our said County of Chatham within twelve months from the date hereof otherwise the Same Shall be Void and of no Effect In Testimony whereof We have Caused these Our letters to be made patent and Our great seal to be hereunto affixed.
