C. Deed Book AD pages 134-135 This Indenture made the ninth day of October In the year of our Lord one Thousand Eight hundred and Thirty Between Alex D. Moore, George I Moore and Mary E. Moore his wife, Maurice Waddell and Mildred Waddell his wife, Hugh Y. Waddell, Julia A. Moore and James Moore of the County of Brunswick & State of North Carolina and Mrs. Rebecca Moore guardian of Richard Q. Moore, Elizabeth W. Moore, Ann Moore, Catharine S. Moore and John A. Moore of the County of Chatham and State of North Carolina of the one part and Sarah S. Moore of the county of Chatham & State of North Carolina of the other part witnesseth that the said Alex’d D. Moore, George I Moore & Mary E. Moore his wife, Maurice Waddell and Mildred Waddell his wife Hugh Y. Waddell, Julia A. Moore & James Moore, Mrs. Rebecca Moore guardian of Ann Moore, Richard Q. Moore, Elizabeth W. Moore, Catharine S. Moore & John A. Moore for and in consideration of the sum of twenty five cents current money of the state aforesaid to them in hand paid by the said Sarah S. Moore the receipt whereof the said Alex’ D. Moore, George I. Moore, Mary E. Moore his wife, Maurice Waddell, Mildred Waddell his wife, Hugh Y. Waddell, Julia A. Moore and James Moore, Mrs. Rebecca Moore guardian of Ann Moore, Richard Q. Moore, Elizabeth W. Moore, Catharine S. Moore and John A. Moore doth hereby Acknowledge hat granted bargained and sold aliened ___ & confirmed by these presents doth bargain grant and sell alien infer off and confirm unto the said Sarah S. Moore her heirs and assigns forever a parcel of land cituate near and adjoining the north boundaries of the town of Pittsborough in Chatham County containing four acres bounding and measuring as follows (that is to say) Beginning on the Said North boundry at the distance of seven poles from the corner of Lot now owned by Thomas Thompson thence running on Said boundry East said seven Poles to said corner on the west side of the Road leading to Hillsboro thence along said Road North sixty poles to the Road leading to the Hickory Mountain thence along said last mentioned road North Seventy eight West fourteen Poles to a Stake thence in a direct course or running a straight line to the first station. To have & to hold the said four acres & every part & parcel there of and all & Singular the rights & members and appurtenances thereunto ___ or in any wise appertaining to her the said Sarah S. Moore her heirs and assigns forever and the said Alex’ D. Moore, George I. Moore & Mary E. Moore his wife, Maurice Waddell and Mildred Waddell his wife, Hugh Y. Waddell, Julia A. Moore, James Moore, and Mrs. Rebecca Moore Guardian of Ann Moore, Richard Q. Moore, Elizabeth Moore, Catharine S. Moore and John A. Moore for them Selves their heirs Executors & Administrators doth covenant and agree with the said Sarah S. Moore her heirs and assigning that the said bargained and sold premises and every part and parcel thereof to her the said Sarah S. Moore her heirs and assigns against the claim or claims of all persons they the said person Alex D. Moore, George I. Moore, Mary E. Moore his wife, Maurice Waddell and Mildred Waddell his wife, Hugh Y. Waddell, Julia A. Moore, James Moore, Mrs. Rebecca Moore Guardian of Ann Moore,, Richard Q. Moore, Elizabeth W. Moore, Catharine S. Moore and John A. Moore their heirs and executors and administrators & shall all ways will warrant and forever defend in witness where of the said Alex D. Moore, George I.
