The following are was abstracted by Cynthia W. Rummel, April 23, 1964, in the
Register of Deeds Office in the Chatham Co. Courthouse, Pittsboro, NC

(This could be for either John Pitts Sr. or Jr.) Deed Book K, p. 145 - Jan.
28, 1799 - Isaac Horsey to Joseph PITTS - 145 lbs. - 284 acres on South side
White Oak Creek, Elisha Cains line, Adam Akman. Wit: Bry Grigory, William
Ledbetter. Proved Feb. Court 1799.

Deed Book D, page 185, State of NC Land Grant No. 212 to John Pitts Sr, 200
acres on the Camp Branch, waters of New Hope, joining Benjamin Willson's
Ekman, Wilson's corner.  Dated March 31, 1780.  Chatham Co., NC.  Registered
February, 1787.
