Marsh served as a Private under Capt. Douglas Company, commanded by Col. Taylor for 11 months. He was born near Pittsboro in Chatham County on 25 Jan. 1759. His family was from Orange. He applied for and was granted pension in 1832. There was no additional family information in the pension application. Marsh died on Nov. 2, 1834.
