SIDNEY FALKNER, near Cane Creek, in Chatham County, was consumed by fire, and two of his sons (one six and the other three years old) perished in the flames. Fire was accidentally communicated to some broom-straw lying under the bed; and being unable to extinguish it, MR. FALKNER, with an infant, one week old, escaped, but were considerably burned. -- Fay. Obs.
