Died

In Chatham county, NC on the 12th ult., Mr. Birdsong Burns in the 56th year of his 
age. The deceased was a member of the Baptist Church for 20 years and died in hope 
of a blissful immortality. He leaves an afflicted wife and many relatives to mourn 
their loss. He was a member of the Sons of Temperance and was interred by May's 
Chapel Division. The Division passed suitable resolutions upon the character and 
worth of the deceased.
