   DIED in Wake County on the 31st October, 1864, EDMUND COX, aged 70 years 
one month and 16 days. He leaves an aged widow and three children to mourn his 
loss. He had been a member of the Methodist Church at Buckhorn, Chatham 
County, for more than 30 years.
