Jan. 3, 1857   North Carolina Argus
   DIED, in Charleston, S. C., on the 17th ult., on her way to Florida in hope 
to arrest the progress of consumption, MRS. ELIZABETH P. ECCLES of 
Fayettevile, and second daughter of the late Col. EDWARD JONES, of Rock Rest, 
Chatham County.
   Her remains were brought to this place for interrment by the side of her 
recently departed husband.
