Communication

Died at Mrs. Edwards' in Chatham County on the 20th inst., Mr. Thomas O. 
Edwards, a young man possessed of a genius but rarely excited and endowed with 
almost every requisite that would make this life desirable but ere he arrived 
at his zenith, he has been snatched from this world by that never failing 
disease of death, the consumption. The moral and intellectual character of 
this youth were indeed exemplary. Words will fall short of portraying the loss 
which his friends and society have incurred by the death on such a choice gem. 
It is a lamentable fact that the three only sons of this lady have fallen 
victims to the same disease.
