Chatham Record: The wife of Mr. James Griffin of New Hope township died last 
Sunday in the eighty seventh year of her age. This was probably the oldest 
married couple in the county, Mr. Griffin's age being nearly two years more 
than his wife's. They had never allowed the fire to go out in the fire place 
of their dwelling since they began housekeeping over half a century ago.
