Raleigh Standard    9 Jan. 1861
   DIED, in Chatham County, N. C., on the 12th ult., MR. JOHN HACKNEY. He was  
born Dec. 19, 1778, was married to MISS ELIZABETH WILLIAMS, of Warren county, 
in June 1804, was baptised into the fellowship of Mount Gilead Baptist Church 
in September, 1841, lost his beloved companion Jan. 1st, 1851, and the 
deceased was 82 years of age at the time of his death.
