J. E. Weaver, who for the past ten or twelve years, has been 
store-keeper and gauger, at McMath's, died last week after a lingering 
illness. In his prime he weighed 325 pounds, but disease reduced his 
weight to less than a hundred. He was a native of Granville and of a 
kind and obliging disposition.
