Headline - Arthur Marley

     Liberty - Arthur Branson Marley, 94, of Hodgin Valley Road, Route 1, 
Pleasant Garden, died Monday at Moses Cone Memorial Hospital in Greensboro.
     Funeral will be 11 a.m. Thursday at Centre Friends Meeting, where he was 
a member.
     He was a native of Guilford County, a retired farmer and blacksmith and a 
World War I veteran.
     Surviving are daughter, Mrs. Linda Trent of Pleasant Garden; sons, Rev. 
Cafer Marley of Ivor, Va., Branson Marley of Pleasant Garden, Eli Marley of 
Dayton Beach, Fla., Phillip Marley of Atlanta, Ga.; brothers, Joe Marley of 
Castle Hayne, Cecil Marley of Pleasant Garden; 16 grandchildren; nine great-
granchildren.
     The family will be at Loflin Funeral Home 7-9 p.m. Wednesday, other times 
at the home of linda Trent, Route 1, Pleasant Garden.
     Memorials may be mae to the Mary Marley Scholarship Fund at Guilford 
College.
