PHILLIPS Richmond (NC - later Bear Creek) Oct. 7th, 1895 Departed this life on the morning of the 7th at 6:00 o'clock our much and highly estemed friend, Mr. Noah B. Phillips after a short illness in his 65th year. He was a kind affectionate and devoted loving father, and only brother. In his death the community has lost one among its best citizens. For he was never known to turn a deaf ear to the cry of the poor and needy. There were many friends during his short sickness present to show great respect and love they had for him. He left behind a WIFE and large Family of children and only sister who morn their loss. The "Wife" never more to meet his in the flesh and receive his kind devotion. The children never more to hear those loving words again because Father's voice is still in death. But we weep not as those that have no hope. A Friend
