PHILLIPS (In Siler City, NC Library on microfilm, No. 10, VOL. XIV Pittsboro, Chatham Record 11/05/1891, page 3, Local News) PHILLIPS at her home near Richmond, N. C. (Later Bear Creek). On the 27th of October Mrs. Emily (Beal) Phillips, wife of Noah B. Phillips, age 62 years passed away. Another good mother and loving companion is gone. The bereaved husband and children our tenderest sympathies. How sad it is to part with such a dear friend. When we hear the remarks about her kind acts and deeds of charity we are reminded of good Dorcas of old. She had been a member of the Baptist Church fourty years and we trust she has gone to that innumerable company which have washed their robes and made them white in the Blood of the Lamb. We Sleep But not Forever, There will be a glorious dawn We shall meet to part "no never" On the resurrection morn.
