"THE HOME" - Pittsboro weekly (Chatham County, NC)
Vol II, Tuesday, April 16, 1885 

Mr. Sam Williams is dead. He was born and raised in Chatham being a 
brother of our ex-Sheriff Williams. many years ago he moved to 
Mississippi where he has since resided. He kept an open house and 
nothing he had was too good for his friends. He was open and
generous and cordial. His many friends will mourn the the hear of his 
death.
