DIED At Santa Fe, New Mexico, about the 25th of April last, Mr. William D. Cosby, formerly of this place, in the 24th year of his age. The deceased was a volunteer in the company of Capt. Thomas M. Horine of St. Genevieve Co., Mo. and was most ardently attached to the service, undergoing all the privations and hardships incident to a campaign in New Mexico, without the least murmur or complaint. He was a young man of more than ordinary promise, and has left a large circle of admiring friends and affectionate relatives, who will deeply deplore his loss and will long cherish the memory of his many virtues, and mourn his early death.
