State Archives film # C.022.50001, Vol. 2, pg. 69 "In the name of God Amen, I thomas Glass of the County of Chatham and State of North Carolina being sick and weak in body but sound in sense and memory blessed be God and knowing it is appointed for all men to die and that after my death my body to be decently buryed and my spirit assend to God that gave it, and all my lawfull debts discharged then the remainder of my Estate to be divided in manner following that is to say first I lend to my beloved wife Martha Glass the whole of my Estate Land, Stock, household good & working tools during her widowhood and after her decease or marriage then my Land, to be equally divided betwixt my sons that shall then be aliving, Then it is my desire that after the decease of my wife Martha Glass that all the remainder of my Estate Stock of horse Cattle Sheep, hogs house hold good? working tools of all sorts be Equally Divided amongst my daughters that shall then be aliving= Item The land I purchased of Zachariah Harman all that part laying below the (a space here) Called Sall Youngblood branch I have given to my son in law John Nall ---tinet from my Other lands and thus I Constitute this my last will and testament revoking all other wills whatsoever.
