State Archives film # C.022.50001, Vol. 2, pg. 30 "In the name of God Amen, I James Wicker of Chatham County and State of North Carolina being in good health mind and memory thanks be to God the it do make and ordain this to be my last will and testament. In Primis, I do lend unto Milley my lawfull and loving Wife after the payment of my Debts and funeral Expenses, The plantation and lands whereon I now live together with all my household furniture and my stock of horses and hogs and eight heads of sheep (smeared) cattle and a negroe girl named Phillis to have and to hold the said lands stock and negroe and all there (sp) increase during her life and after her death I do give and bequeath the said plantation land household furniture stock and negroe and all their increase t be divided amongst Sarah Hester Milley Hester and Prissilla Wicker to them and their heirs forever. Secondly, I do give unto Sarah Hester two head of cattle to her and her heirs forever. I also give unto Milley Hester two head of cattle to her and heirs forever. I give unto Prissilla Wicker two head of cattle and womans saddle to her and her heirs forever. I also give unto my nephew Jonathan Wicker one cow to him and his heirs forever, and my nephew James Wicker I give my rifle gun to him and his heirs forever. And I also appoint Henry Colyer and Jonathan Badgett as Executors of this my last will and testament and I do hereby disanul and revoke all other wills before made by me I have hereunto set my hand and seal this 13th of January 1789.
