I cannot recall ever hearing of a Moos ( it may be the name Muse) William Willis Will dated Feb., 20, 1801 In the Year of our Lord 1801, Feb. 20th I, William Willis of the county of Chatham & State of North Carolina do make & alledge this my last will & Testament. I give & bequeath unto my wife Honour Willis every thing during her life, and after my just debts are paid and after her deceas Nancy Olieve Ten pounds, Rebecca Cain Five pounds, Molly Moos five pounds Polly Moos five pounds Sinthy Cain I give one Negro Gal that I bought of Elisha Cain named Mimey, Susaner Rhoads five pounds I request of Susaner Rhoads all that I lent to her to give up in order to pay my debts And after the deceas of my Wife Honour Willis, all to be sold & equally divided between Sinthy Cain and Iry Olieve there is a mistake made of ten pounds which I, give to Britain Moos.
