Record of Wills, Vol. A, pg. 192 N.C. State Archives film @ C.022.80001 In the Name of God Amen, I Mychael Willson, Senr. of the county of Chatham State of No. Carolina, planter being in a disorderly condition of body but in my mind and memory perfect and as such I do make and ordain this my Last will & Testament that is to say principally as I am convinced that my time is short I give demise and dispose of the same in the following manner and form. Item I lend my wife Amy Willson one bed and furniture one brindel bow and calf one Loumb (Loom) and gears one cotten wheel & cards Earthen Ware and pewter all divided by my wife and young son Myke Willson Juner. Item at the death of my wife I give and bequeath the same to my daughter Milley Thrailkill. Item. Also at the death of my wife I give my grandchild, Nancy Christian one coverled (coverlet) Item, I give and bequeath my son Mychael Willson Junr. one horse saddle and bridle one black cow Cven (Seven?) head of hogs two pots and hooks with all the rest of my household furniture together with all of my working tools and I doe ordain and constitute Mychael Willson and Jesse Thrailkill Executors of this my Last will and Testament and doe thereby certify disalow revoak and disanul all and every other former Testament will requests and executors by me in any wise before named wills this and no other to be my Last will and Testament in Witness hereof I have set my hand and seal this first day of March 1800. Signed sealed and delivered by the sd Mychael Willson as his last will & testament in presents of us Michael Willson, Senr. {Seal} Test. Wm. Franks James Thrailkill My Note: I would like to correspond with anyone that has Michael as an ancestor. He is said to be mine but, no real proof. He evidently had two or more wives, if he is mine, the last one Amy being the mother of Myke? is not my ancestor/ancestress. I believe he had two sons one Mykael Junr and Myke. (I know they are supposed to be the same name) but, read the will carefully. He says, his YOUNG son Myke and then his Executor is Mychael Willson. He also has a granddaughter Nancy. So, if Myke is his young son, he is not the same as Mykael Jr. Children were called infants until they were 21 years of age but, they could not be executors until they were 21. If he was old enough to have a grand child. His young son Myke would have to be by a second or more marriage??
