CHATHAM COUNTY, NC - WILLS - Penny Williams, 26 Sep 1885 ----¤¤¤¤---- Found in the loose papers NC State Archives "In the name of God Amen, I Penny Williams of sound and disposing memory, being desirous of settling my worldly affairs while having the capacity so to do, do declare this to be my last will and testament. Item 1st It is my will that my son H.C. Williams is to have one bed and furniture six chairs one set knives & forks one set of plates one dish set of tea and table spoons one bred tray & sifter one cow. Item 2nd I give and bequeath unto my daughter S.F. Williams two choice beds & furniture six chairs one set of knives & forks one set of plates one dish set of tea & table spoons one bred tray & sifter, two flat irons one spinning wheel one cow, in fact all of my stock of every description that I have on hand at my death and all the personal property that I have bought since the death of my husband including the cook stove and fixtures and all the provisions that I have on hand at my death eather gathered or growing in the field, one trunk and all the money on hand that was the proceed of the land. Item 3rd It is my will that the residue of my property be sold and after paying my just debts the balance to be equally divided between all of my children Item 4th It is my desire that my sons C.L. Williams and H.C. Williams to be my Executors to carry out this my last will and testament. Item 5th It is my will at my death that my body shall have a deacent burial according to the wishes of my friends and relations.
