Thurs. Sept. 29, 1859   North Carolina Argus September 29, 1850
   We understand a personal difficulty occurred at Murphy, Cherokee County, on 
Saturday, the 10th inst., between COL. N. G. HOWELL and a constable named 
WILLIAMS, during which the latter was shot through the breast by a son of COL. 
HOWELL. WILLIAMS was thought to be fatally wounded. -- Asheville News
