North Carolina sc. At a Council held at Edenton the 3d day of August Anno 
Domini 1723. Present The Honorable William Reed Esqr. President etc. Chr. 
Gale, Richd. Sanderson, John Lovick, Thos. Pollock Esqurs. Lds. Proprietors 
Deputys.

Read the petition of Thomas Yates Executor of the Will of Thomas Bell praying 
proper persons may be appointed to appraise and divide the Estate of the said 
Thomas Ball [sic] according to his Will Ordered that Mr. John Holbrook, Mich. 
King, Joseph Hudson, and Thomas Ashley or any Three of them being first sworn 
to forthwith appraise the said Estate and make division thereof and deliver 
the same when so divided to the person to whom it belongs as given by the said 
Balls Will and return a Copy of the said appraisment into the Secretary's 
Office as the Law requires.
