North Carolina }            Know all men by these Presents that
 Chowan County }            we Barnaby Hobbs  Timothy Walton

Josiah Granbery Esquire__all of the County & Province aforesaid
Jointly & Severally do Stand bound unto the worship-
full Juctices of the said County Court & their Successors in the
Sum of One hundred Proclamation Money the which
Payment well & truly to be made & done we bind Ourselves Our
Heirs Extors Admors firmly by these Presents Sealed with our
Seals and Dated this 20th ___ Day of July Anno Dom. 1761.
               The Condition of this Obligation is such that
whereas the above Bounden Barnaby Hobbs ____ was the Day
& Year aforesaid by the Justices of the aforesaid County Court
Nominated & Appointed Guardian of Sarah Hobbs  ____
____ Orphan of Thomas Hobbs Late of said County Deceased & by Order
of said Court is Authorized & Impowered to take into Hands
& Possession all the Estate of said Orphan wheresoever in
this County to be found.  Now if the said Barnaby Hobbs
_______  his Heirs Exors or Admors shall & do Tender
a true & Just Account of all such Estate Goods & Chattels,
Rights & Credits of the said Orphan that shall Come into
his Hands & Possession or into the Hands or Possession of any
other Person or Persons whatsoever by his Order or Pro-
cinement & the same Goods & Chattels shall pay or cause
to be paid & Delivered unto the said Orphan when Lawfully
Demanded in Kind Quantity & Quality Received & shall in
all things Act Perform & Execute the Office of Duty of a Guar-
dian for & towards the said Orphan & also shall Render a
True & Just Acct. to sd County Court at all or any Time or
Times when the said Barnaby Hobbs ________  shall be
thereto required so that the Justices of the said County Court

shall always be Saved & Kept harmless from of & Concern
the Estate of sd Orphan Then the within Obligation to be Void
or Else to Remain in full Force & Virtue ___
