Washington County 
Term Spring 1829

Daniel N. Bateman and Lois, his wife
vs.
James A. Arrington and Mary his wife; Benjamin Spruill and Samuel Spruill, by 
their guardain George E. Spruill, Esq.

It appearing to the satisfaction of the Court that James A. Arrington and Mary 
his wife reside beyond the limits of this State; It is therefore ordered by 
the Court that publication be made for six succsssive weeks in the Edenton 
Gazette that unless they appear at the next term of the Superior Court of Law 
& Equity to be held for the county of Washington at the Spring Term 1830 and 
will be taken against them.
Witness: John Goelet
Clerk & Master of the said Court at office on the 2nd Monday in March 1829
