Chowan County

	This Indenture made this the second day of May A.D. one thousand eight 
hundred and fifty nine between Rich'd Bush of Gates County and Andrew J. Bush 
of Norfolk Va of the first part and Elisha T. Bush of the second part.  
Witnesseth that with and in the consideration of the sum of fifty Dollars a 
piece to us in hand paid by Elisha T. Bush the receipt of which is hereby duly 
acknowledged we the said Richard Bush and Andrew J. Bush doth bargain sell and 
by these presents do bargain sell and deliver unto the said Elish T. Bush all 
our right in a certain piece or parcel of land lying and being in the county 
of Chowan and State of North Carolina and bounded as follows.  

Viz. Beginning at Calvin R. Binkley's line a corner in the Virginia Road 
thence up said road a North Course to Bull Ward Branch to Micajah Blanchard's 
line thence down said Branch to Calvin R. Brinkley's line thence up a small 
Branch along Calvin R. Brinkley's line to the first Station containing one 
hundred acres more or less.  To have and to hold with all and every part and 
parcel thereof and we the said Rich'd Bush and Andrew J. Bush doth bind 
ourselves our heirs and assigns to defend against the lawful claim or claims 
of any other person or persons whatsoever.  As witness whereof we the said 
Richard Bush & Andrew J. Bush have set our hands and affixed our seals the day 
& date above written.
