To all people to whom these presents may come, know ye that I Docton Jordan of 
North Carolina & Chowan County for and in consideration of the sum one hundred 
and fifty dollars to me in hand paid by Robert Evans the receipt wherof I 
acknowledge myself therewith satisfied contented and paid have bargained and 
sold unto the said Robert Evans a certain tract or parcel of land in county 
aforsaid bounded as follows , beginning at a pine a corner tree in Willis 
Jordans line thence his line to Noah Hollowells line thense his line to the 
first station containing thirty nine and two tenths acres of land with every 
part and parcel and all improvments there unto belonging or any wise 
appertaining unto hin the said Robert Evans his heirs and assigns for ever_  _ 
_ _ _ acquited and discharged from me my heirs and assigns forever. Futhermore 
I the said Docton Jordan will warrant and defend the above bargained premises 
from the lawful claim or claims of any person or persons whatsoever In 
testimony hereof  I have hereunto set my hand and seal this the eleventh day of 
March one thousand eight hundred and thirty one

The forgoing deed was exhibited in open court proved by the oath of James
Byrum Sen. one of the subscribing witnesses to the same & ordered to be

Additional Comments:
Docton Jordan is my g-g-grandfather. By 1840 he is in the Perquimans County, 
North Carolina Census. He died in 1845
