Indenture made January 19, 1737 between John Lewis of Chowan and Peter 
Adams, for 250 pounds land in Chowan the whole remaining part of the land 
formerly belonging to my father Richard Lewis on Machecomac Creek adjacent 
to Wm Lutens corner tree, Bear Garden old field, Capt Sam'l Padgetts corner 
tree containing 150 acres.
Witnsses: Benj Talbert and David Ambros
Registered: Chowan Court 1737
