Indenture made July 5, 1708 between John Lewis and Edward Phelps both of 
Chowan, for valuable considerations land in Chowan on the west side of 
Scuponung River being called ye Mockison adjacent to John Hopkins containing 
222 acres.
Witnesses: Edmond Doster and John Lillington
